How to remotely support a client's PC (step by step)
Taking control of a computer remotely is simple when the tool is well designed. Here is the full workflow, from first contact to the end of the session.
1. Get consent
First, make sure the PC owner authorizes the remote control. It's a legal requirement and good practice.
2. Send the install link
From your portal, generate a link and send it to the client. They download and run a small program, with no setup.
3. Take control
The machine appears in your portal. You see the screen and control mouse and keyboard. Switch between monitors if needed.
4. Fix the problem
Install, configure, clean up, explain. The session stays active even if the user steps away (no idle sleep).
5. End cleanly
Close the session. In one-off mode, nothing stays installed on the client. Everything is recorded in your audit log.
